La QueenProduction chiede di rimuovere demo e rarità da Youtube: ecco perché!

In queste ore molti utenti Yuotube che hanno caricato sul sito file rari dei Queen hanno ricevuto il seguente invito:

"Polite Note From Queen Productions Ltd.
Dear YouTube User

We are writing to inform you that Queen Productions Ltd. will soon be conducting a thorough YouTube search for certain content that infringes Rights owned by Queen.

We are not planning to remove every Queen item to have been uploaded without permission. At this time we are only planning to remove examples of unreleased Queen studio recordings, session out-takes, demos, and the like. We are not referring to familiar Queen promo videos - we mean material such as My Secret Fantasy, Face It Alone, Robbery, Self Made man, I Guess We're Falling Out... items in this general category of unreleased archive rarities.

We notice you have uploaded one or more items that fall into this category, and we therefore politely request you remove these item/s forthwith. We would further advise that if these items are not removed by Friday, 14th December 2012, and we are forced to take them down ourselves, as a result of this process you will receive an automatic 'Strike' action from the YT system (which is not within our control).

YT advise us that any User receiving three or more of these Strikes, will automatically result in that individual's account being blocked.

We are not looking to spoil your enjoyment of Queen on YT, but merely to protect material owned by the band that has no business being on this (or any other) site without consent or permission.

We are aware that the vast majority of YT Users may not know that certain material they have uploaded infringes rights owned by Queen (as well as YouTube rules), and thus we hope this respectful notice will avoid the need for us to Take Down the offending item you have uploaded.

Please remove all offending items forthwith, avoid the '3 strikes and you're out' rule, but most importantly... do continue to enjoy Queen footage on YouTube -- but the officially uploaded videos, with the best sound and picture quality material -- not the poor quality unfinished uploads that were never intended for the public domain.

Cosa ne pensate? e può essere una strategia in vista della pubblicazione ufficiale di certo materiale?

Se avessero almeno l'intenzione di pubblicarli sarebbe anche giusto, ma non mi sembra questa la loro volonta !

Se cosi' fosse avremmo finamente un motivo di festeggiare. Ma sinceramente non ci credo e neppure spero piu'. Da parecchio tempo ormai

Penso che sono dei maledetti sciacalli che meritano di fallire e finire in mezzo ad una strada.

Che si dovrebbero vergognare profondamente.

penso che usando la logica dovremmo aspettarci un'uscita ufficiale che contenga questo materiale, ma stiamo parlando della QueenProduction ed è tutt'altro discorso...
poi, non so se vado fuori tema, ma da un annetto mi gira in testa la frase "Never make me boring"....ma ne è così sicuro Mr. Beach di non aver fatto annoiare o reso noiso Qualcuno?

Credo più alle profezie maya che alla Queenproduction. Non credo che rilasci quel materiale ufficialmente in tempi ragionevoli.... Intanto stiamo ancora aspettando i duetti con Michael Jackson U____U

E Hammermsmith Odeon 1975 annunciato due anni fa??

E il Rainbow che viene continuamente indicato come possibile nuovo Dvd?

E che dire poi di tutti gli altri concerti video COMPLETI in archivio che anche i muri conoscono ma sono lì a fare la muffa?

Senza contare il fantomatico boxone, ormai una vera e propria leggenda che racconteremo ai nostri nipotini.

Ah, e l'album di Roger, che non è affare della Queenproduction (credo), ma è comunque un'altra cosa lasciata a metà.

Ormai è questa la prassi dei Queen, creare attese e lasciar cadere tutto nel vuoto, una bella presa per il culo, diciamo.

pian pianino elimineranno anche i video dei concerti..bootleg eccetera...così nessuno più si ricorderà delle release non ufficiali! e alla Queen Production tutti vissero felici e contenti :D

Ci siamo chiesti il perché del "cortese invito" della QP rivolto agli utenti di Youtube che avevano caricato materiale raro e inedito sul tubo. Oggi è arrivata la spiegazione: sta per nascere il canale ufficiale delle rarità! Proprio oggi sono partiti i primi inviti su facebook (questa la pagina: https://www.facebook.com/RareShareQueenCollectibles) e sul sito di Brian May è apparso il seguente comunicato che vi riporto integralmente:

A brand new YouTube channel - created specially
for Queen fans, by Queen fans… Coming soon.

Queen’s archivist Greg Brooks and contributor/expert Gary Taylor are about to launch an exciting new channel on YouTube, and invite fellow fans and collectors to join them in making ‘Rare Share: Queen Collectibles’ the place to go to view and share Queen memorabilia from all around the world.

The channel will focus exclusively upon Queen and Solo nostalgia - everything ever released - presented in concise video clips. This will be the band’s unique and fascinating history, but this time from the perspective of you the fans. There are thousands of wonderful items to get through – a vast array of treasures which they'd like you to be a part of.

Anything at all rare and interesting in the name of Queen, has its place here. Be it records, books, picture discs, boxed sets, posters, acetates, t-shirts, cassettes, coloured vinyl, CDs, toys, tickets, passes, programmes, cards, bootlegs or badges. Whatever it is you have, fellow fans will want to see it.

It’s not only about physical items of memorabilia. It could also be a Queen concert or exhibition you'd like to review, or a convention, or a book signing appearance you attended.

Gary and Greg have made a start with 18 newly created Features of their own, to launch with, and many more to follow. They cover numerous items that many of you won't have seen before.

If you think you have something special or extraordinary that other fans would like to see, then share it, and start all kinds of debates rolling.

A comprehensive Guide (suggestions and tips for creating your own clips) will feature within the channel, but for now, in essence, your video should (ideally) be 2–3 minutes long, NOT contain any Queen music or video, and cover any rare or interesting or significant items you have. You can present it however you like. Try to be original, informative and entertaining. You can be serious or funny: whatever you think appropriate.

This channel is for you: the fans and collectors. You decide what’s worth covering, and what’s not. You guys know this stuff better than anyone else, so you’re best qualified to present these rare gems.

The ‘Rare Share: Queen Collectibles’ channel will go live in December (date to be confirmed), so GB & GT are inviting you now to start thinking about clips you’d like to contribute, to submit once it’s live. Dig out your best and most beloved treasures and plan some films to share with likeminded fans all around the world.

anch'io quando ho visto il titolo della news ho pensato fosse un canale di demo rare, ecc. ma poi a leggere bene si vede che si tratta di un canale in cui i fan possono mettere la memorabilia che hanno o recensioni di concerti, libri, ecc. ma dice espressamente che NON deve contenere musica dei Queen..
quindi niente demo anche stavolta!

su queenzone l'utilissimo Greg Brooks non capisce come mai ci siano reazioni negative sul progetto di questo nuovo canale youtube e ha aperto un topic apposta...meraviglioso!
